History
The Frankfort Missionary Baptist Church was organized April 21, 1906, in the Frankfort School House located on the waters of Spruce Creek. Charter members were: B. F. Alsip, Martha E. Alsip, Eddie Alsip, Pearlie Alsip, Myra Alsip, Hulda Alsip, R. J. Alsip, Ida Alsip, Lula Alsip, Charlie Roaden, Mary Jane Roaden, Charlie Bishop, Louisa Bishop, Frank Yates, Dana Yates, W. C. Miller, Rebecka Miller, Charlie Alsip, R. J. Thompson, James M. Thompson, P. M. Jones, and Frances Jones.
They elected Elder G. T. Hill as the first pastor. The church applied for membership in the Mount Zion Association October 12, 1906. They reported a membership of 28. The congregation met in the Frankfort School House for two years while B. F. Alsip, Charlie Roaden, and Frank Yates built the church at the present site. In 1908, they moved into the new church building. B. F. Alsip, R. J. Alsip, and W. C. Miller represented the church at the association.
